Trabuco Canyon Crash



A 19-year old female motorcyclist died in a motorcycle crash while riding the roads of Trabuco Canyon.

About the Accident

The young Anaheim woman, Alexa Julie Fournier, 19, died from her injuries after failing to maneuver a turn on one of Trabuco Canyon’s S-turn roads, and collided with an oncoming commercial truck.
According to Officer Christopher Goodwin of the California Highway Patrol, excessive speed was one of the causes of the accident.
According to Martin Henderson of RanchoSantaMargaritaPatch, the incident took place Feb. 12 at 11:55 a.m. Fournier was pronounced dead at Mission Hospital on Feb. 14 at 4:23 a.m.

Kansas Man Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Accident

A Kansas man was critically injured in a motorcycle accident in South Wichita.

About the Accident

 

Early morning on February 15 at approximately 2 a.m., a Kansas man lost control of his motorcycle, and crashed. According to police the crash took place at Broadway and 31st Street South in South Wichita.
The 32-year-old man was taken to Wichita hospital to treat his serious injuries. Nobody saw the crash, but as drivers passed through the area, they saw a man laying in the middle of the street next to a motorcycle and called 911.
The motorcyclist’s identity has not been release although Police found a military ID on him, and believe that they know who the man is. The motorcycle had not yet been registered.

Arizona Man Dies in Motorcycle Accident



An Arizona man died Sunday night in a motorcycle crash.

About the Accident

 

Details of the accident are currently unknown, and Avondale police are investigating the exact cause of the accident. According to ABC15 staff, the accident took place at approximately 5:45 p.m. near Van Buren and Dysart Roads.
Van Buren Street was shut down in both directions for several hours while police investigated. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident according to Avondale police spokesman, Brandon Busse.
It is unknown at this time if the driver was wearing a helmet.

Young Waco Motorcyclist Dies in Crash


A 20-year old motorcyclist died in Waco Thursday after colliding with a pickup truck.

About the Accident

According to officials, the motorcyclist was heading northbound on New Road near the intersection New Road and Watt Avenue when his motorcycle, a 2006 Suzuki, hit the side of a Ford F-250 pickup as the pickup truck’s driver was pulling onto New Road from the parking lot of the Gift Horse store.
The motorcyclist was identified by the police as Robert Charles Taplin III, 20, of Waco. Police said that Taplin wasn’t wearing a helmet, and speed may have been a factor in the accident. Nadia Galindo of KWTX reported that McLennan County Justice of the Peace Pete Peterson pronounced Taplin dead at the scene.
The pickup truck driver was not harmed.
