A
51-year old man died in a motorcycle crash on Sunday afternoon while riding his
motorcycle near Zionville.
About the Accident
Elisabeth Arriero of the Charlotte Observer reports that Christopher
Thomas Higgins lost control of his vehicle after trying to pass another motorcycle
rider on the highway. According to Highway Patrol spokesman M. Rodriguez, Higgins
traveled off the left side of the road, struck a ditch, and was thrown from the
motorcycle.
Higgins died around 5 p.m. from the crash.
